No one along our small wetland watershed* had ever seen, or heard, so many Canada Geese and Mallard Ducks!
Everyone who came to watch had the same reaction,
“Can you believe this?!”
There were hundreds of birds coming and going all afternoon. None of the larges groups have returned since. We wondered if the wildfires and smoke are disorienting some of the migratory patterns.
