Until I took this class… I shied away from setting the mode on my camera to “M.” Manual mode overwhelmed me.
But, the truth is, taking this leap of faith was the first step in learning the language of light: shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. This proved to be the first and awkward stage of becoming familiar with the exposure triangle.
Along with “M” came “R.” My camera settings were moved from JPG to RAW. I did this to begin to understand how to get every bit of performance from my DSLR cameras.
