A Window with a View | Wildlife Portals

We live in a growing community. Look out any window in our suburban home and you wouldn’t know it though. Each room has “a window with a view.”  Each window provides a unique portal to nature.

We are surrounded by welcoming places for wildlife. To the front- views of a wetland. To the side- views of a forest. To the back- views of a collection of bird feeders, grape vine trellis, and raised garden boxes.

This week, the windows in our home provided warm and dry vantage points to watch the coming and going of a variety of birds and squirrels. Perfect timing for the Lens-Artists photo theme: A Window with a View

Front Window with a View-

The wetland has been relatively quiet lately. However, a few waterfowl passed by looking for food.

Back Window with a View-

Our backyard has been busy. Bird-feeders attract both birds and squirrels. A park bench with apples is also appealing.
