Chaos | Need for Antidote*

The idea of chaos
is overwhelming.
Worldwide…
people
are in the clutches of
anxiety and fear-
Corona Virus induced
Chaos
rushes through
our nerves, hearts, and
souls.

These are times when
hugs
embraces
holding hands…
could bring
comfort
but…
we
cannot
reach out
to touch.
This week-
My mind won’t
let me add to the
complete disorder
and confusion
with a post
showing
Chaos
We all must
reach
deep
into
ourselves.
Give large doses of-
Love
Kindness
Faith
Trust
Stamina
Courage
Strength
Support
Hope
Antidotes
to calm chaos,
relieve fear and anxiety-
I believe
we will find
our way.
Please-
Follow COVID-19
guidelines
Pray for
each other
Be safe…

Patti chose the Corona Virus pandemic as her theme for this challenge as well. She eloquently captured all that was surging through my thoughts as the words for my post finally flowed through my fingertips and onto the keyboard. I agree with her thoughts and also believe that chaos is an impetus for awareness and enlightenment. A wake up call in its harshest and most poignant form…

* My antidote for chaos was a quiet walk in the woods with my husband. We found respite in blooming spring flowers. I hope sharing photos will bring a moment of calm to you.

  1. calm chaos…well put. We were just looking at a field of golden poppies and Lisa asked me what came to mind. I had already thought of Matthew 6 when Jesus told hid disciples to look at the birds in the air…are you of more value to the Father? Being a worrier by genetics, Matthew 6:34 is a passage I recall daily. I really enjoyed your poem and flowers.

    1. I am so happy to read your post, Ralph, and trust you are back at home safe and sound. We have been very concerned about how your travel plans evolved. We are blessed indeed… by both the places and people we call neighbors and friends. 💕

  2. And you did, thank you! This is what we all need, and the beauty found in nature is the most calming thing for us. Stay safe and thank you for joining in – stay safe!

    1. Thank you, Ann Christine. Your words ring so true. The theme you selected worked as inspiration for me, although not in the direction maybe first imagined. Sometimes contrast helps with clarity. Does that make sense? Keep well💕
