Lovely palette of rainbow colours – think I can identify four of the birds. Curious to know which species of humming bird?

Hello Liz-
Thank you for asking. That is a male Anna’s Hummingbird.
How did you do on the others?
– Red/ Red-breasted Sapsucker
-Orange/ Black-headed Grosbeak
-Yellow/ Common Yellow-throat
-Green/ Anna’s Hummingbird
_Indigo-Violet/ Mallard Duck (male with sun catching him just right for the blue spectrum. Normally, his head feathers reflect more of an emerald green)

Oh, he’s gorgeous. Thought Blue Jay and a yellow warbler, so totally off! Got the Mallard though.

I think you did better than I would have done with South Africa bird identification. I’ve never seen Sunbirds or Sugarbirds until your beautiful post! ❤

Cute take on the challenge and definitely different from most of the rainbows submitted (I chose rainbows too as you can see here: https://galeweithers.wordpress.com/2015/06/19/wordpress-photo-challenge-double-or-single-both/); am thinking I much prefer your beautiful birds so thanks for sharing 🙂
