Erosion at Spencer Creek
At the mouth of Spencer Creek, where fresh waters enter the Pacific Ocean, sand erosion is moved by constant interaction between tides and the ocean-bound creek flow.
The cut from creek banks looks like what one would expect, as the sand is cut by the stream and washed away.
However, we thought it a bit curious to see sands waiting, piggy-back, on pebbles. Almost as if taunting the ocean and creek… “You can’t catch me!”
