Happy Easter

The Perfect “Easter Basket”

Looked out my bedroom window this morning and discovered a beautifully woven nest. Fashioned from dried horsetail stems, various grasses, twigs, and lichen. Litterfall put to work!

This mother robin chose the perfect spot to lay eggs and raise her young … in an Red Alder at the edge of our wetland.

She is in an excellent spot for abundant worms and water from the pond.

  1. Sounds like she’s also in an excellent spot to show off her little ones to you as they grow. What a fine gift! Happy Easter, Jane.
